Having just watched some of the videos on youtube, I am interested to see how this would work in Stirling. I would definately give it a go, and I know a few others who expressed interest. I would like to know the area(s) being considered?
Thanks for your reply. We can only move on with this project if people support the idea. Unfortunately very few ie three people have said to us it is a good idea so far. We’re keeping it on the site and perhaps people will change their minds and give added support. Watch this space. Do you know of an area in Broomridge that you would like to see some equipment for adults to use?If you have friends or neighbours in Broomridge that support the idea, please let us know, either thro this site or come along to a meeting. Mayfield Centre first Wed of the month at 7pm. Cheers Ethne Brown
Having used this equipment at Leven beach in fife, i must tell you how fantastic it is for not just the old but the young and disabled, I think Broomridge would benefit from such equipment.
Thanks for your reply. We are trying to find out how many people support this idea. We will meet again in the Mayfield Community Centre in the first Wed of Feb 2011 at 7pm Perhaps you could attend and share some ideas with us about where they could be situated. We would need to negotiate with the Council for free space to place them and then apply for funding to other bodies. All good fun and very rewarding, hope you could lend a hand. Regards, Ethne Brown.
Think this is a great idea and I reckon it would be well used. ‘Group’ activities could be organised. The ‘kick pitch’ beside the Co-op is a large piece of ground that could be put to better use.
I know it seems a good spot, but it is very soft and is in fact I believe a flood, overflow area. I doubt if any planning would be allowed to go thro’ and that is why it is an open space used for ball games etc. However, I will ask about that area again. Cheers Ethne Brown
I asked again about the area beside the Co oP, seemingly Scottish Water is responsible for it and they would not allow even goal posts to be erected.
I would be interested in this
